On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Konstantinos Katsafados, visited the facilities of DASTERI, as part of government delegation visits to businesses in the region. Mr. Katsafados was thoroughly briefed by the company’s Management on DASTERI’s consistently growing export activity, as well as its new investment program.

During his presence at DASTERI, the Deputy Minister was introduced to all of the company’s departments: new product design, mold construction, quality control, and the production and assembly units for LED street lighting fixtures, as well as vehicle lighting systems.

The Deputy Minister thanked the management and employees for their outstanding work in the development of DASTERI, describing it as one of the country’s top export companies, which produces high-tech products exported worldwide, providing significant added value to the Greek economy. He emphasized that through its exports, both Alexandroupolis and Greece are promoted internationally.
Mr. Katsafados particularly stressed that what the state and government must do is to give a vote of confidence to companies such as DASTERI, which support the local and, more broadly, the national economy, provide numerous jobs, and help retain young people in the sensitive region of Thrace.
